Made for meddling.

"Bastl" is Czech for tinkering, and that is the whole idea. The company grew out of a DIY workshop scene in Brno and became an instrument maker in 2013, without ever really leaving the workbench behind: they still run courses, throw parties, release records and publish most of their schematics and code openly, so their instruments are built to be opened, modded and rewired.

The range runs from pocket-sized noise makers to studio utilities and Eurorack modules, usually with an unconventional angle on a familiar idea and an interface that rewards experimenting over reading the manual. Hand-assembled in Brno, with an eye on producing responsibly.
