Built out of necessity, in Athens.

Dreadbox started in 2012 because Yiannis Diakoumakos and Dimitra Manthou were broke musicians who could not afford the gear they wanted. So they built their own. What began with pedal clones on a kitchen table became one of the most recognisable boutique synth companies in Europe, and everything is still designed and assembled by hand in their Athens workshop.

They were early to the semi-modular idea, giving players patchable routing without the cost and commitment of a full modular system, and the house sound has stayed consistent ever since: warm, characterful, and often deliberately aggressive.

We carry the Typhon, their compact analog monosynth with Sinevibes effects, alongside the pedal range: shimmer reverb, hybrid delay, analog chorus and phaser, most with CV patch points so they work as readily with a modular rig as with a guitar.
